Objectives

IPLUSO has committed to academic excellence, pedagogical innovation, and the internationalization of higher education, becoming a reference in the Lusophone and European space. With Erasmus+, this strategy has been reinforced by offering students, faculty, and staff opportunities for mobility, cooperation, and professional development. Participation in the programme has been a strategic tool to promote academic mobility, develop intercultural skills, expand international partnerships, transfer good practices, and foster a more open and global institutional culture. In the current cycle, mobility increased and participant profiles became more diverse. This progress reflects stronger engagement from the academic community and more efficient management, strengthening relations with international partners. The project places internationalization as a strategic axis of institutional development—enhancing teaching practices, updating academic staff, empowering students, and training technical staff. Mobilities have brought measurable, positive impacts at individual, organizational, and institutional levels. Despite progress, the strategy is still consolidating. Project implementation helped identify challenges, simplify processes, support participants, and improve conditions for future mobilities. In the medium and long term, IPLUSO aims to make international mobility a cross-cutting and equitable practice, diversifying beneficiary profiles and contributing to the sustainable development of higher education. The experience gained reinforces the idea that internationalization is a continuous path of institutional growth and human enrichment.
