The central purpose of implementing this project was to reinforce the internationalization and modernization strategy of Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, in line with its Erasmus Policy Declaration and the European objectives for higher education. From the outset, IPB has embraced internationalization as a strategic priority, understanding that transnational academic cooperation and international mobility constitute fundamental pillars for institutional development and the comprehensive training of its students and staff. In this sense, Erasmus projects enable the creation and consolidation of an ecosystem of co-creation, innovation, and knowledge transfer, capable of sustaining a knowledge-based regional economy and projecting the IPB as a leading institution in Europe and internationally. Likewise, it allows for the strengthening of cooperation networks with strategic partners, both within and outside the European Union, through integration into networks of universities of applied sciences, such as cooperation with Portuguese-speaking countries and regions. Another objective was to expand international mobility opportunities for students, faculty, and staff, ensuring a diverse profile and the inclusion of groups with fewer opportunities. The project also aimed to foster the sharing of best academic, pedagogical, and scientific practices, create new opportunities for dual degrees, stimulate joint research projects, and consolidate a multicultural and inclusive academic community. This approach not only prepared participants to respond to current challenges but also strengthened transversal skills such as adaptability, employability, intercultural awareness, and European citizenship. Institutionally, the project's implementation also helped to establish the IPB as an active agent of regional development, with a direct impact on the region and its community. The institution's internationalization translates into local benefits through cultural revitalization, the strengthening of social cohesion, and the creation of new opportunities for cooperation with the region's economic and business community.
