Our main objective with the implementation of the project was to consolidate and improve the internationalisation strategy of Lusíada University, published on our website, to grow in scientific and human terms and to adapt it increasingly to the general objectives of the European Higher Education Area, especially with regard to scientific research, student and teacher mobility, creating unforgettable human experiences, and digitisation, promoting new rules for sustainability and climate protection and avoiding the systematic use of paper and consumables. We have joined and promoted a growing number of thematic networks through the participation of our teaching staff in seminars, working days for the creation of new research projects, workshops and demonstrations of skills specific to the areas taught at the University. At the same time, these same lecturers, trainees and/or trainers taught classes and open classes, in accordance with the number of hours required by the programme. We were also able to welcome a growing number of scientific and technical collaborators from partner universities from various parts of Europe and South America, under previously signed protocols or new protocols in multiple scientific areas. This global exchange has led to a growing number of future collaborations with partner universities and an increasingly rich exchange of experiences, benefiting the Lusíada academic community and its image in higher education and civil society. We also sought to streamline — and succeeded in doing so — the means and deadlines for concluding new interinstitucional agreements, as well as promoting the participation of an increasing number of Lusíada University students in blended intensive programmes. These short and blended programmes focus students on specific subjects, allowing them to work with more universities and colleagues from other countries, as well as benefit from new approaches and methodologies that will provide them with useful tools in the short and medium term.
