With the implementation of the project, the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS) aimed to strengthen its internationalization strategy by promoting mobility opportunities for students and staff within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme. The main objective was to provide enriching international experiences that enabled contact with diverse cultural, academic, and professional realities. Regarding student mobility, these experiences were essential for the development of personal, intercultural, and academic skills, which are highly valued in the labor market and contribute to employability and personal growth. Living in international contexts also fostered greater European awareness and respect for diversity. As for teaching and non-teaching staff mobility, it represented a strategic opportunity to strengthen networking, develop international cooperation projects, and share best practices with other European higher education institutions. Together, these actions contributed to institutional modernization and alignment with global challenges such as digital transition, sustainability, and inclusion. The project also included specific measures to promote equity and sustainability, such as support for students with fewer opportunities and the enhancement of ecological practices, notably through the promotion of Green Travel and initiatives like the Erasmus Closet. In this way, IPS was able to consolidate its commitment to the strategic objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme 2021–2027, reinforcing its role as an open, innovative, and socially responsible institution.
