Objectives

With this project, Iscte aimed to promote mobility and internationalization across its entire academic community, strengthening networks, partnerships, and exchanges with higher education institutions in Europe and around the world. Through mobility initiatives, the goal was to develop joint projects and programs that would expand internationalization opportunities for everyone—particularly students, academic and non-academic staff—with diverse experiences and knowledge, from senior to junior personnel. The intention was to create new and more innovative opportunities, with special emphasis on Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP), considered an effective modality for creating microcredentials and enhancing participants’ skills. Overall, the project aimed to increase mobility: - For students (in studies or internships, short- or long-term), with a view to improving their employability in a more inclusive and sustainable European context. - For academic and non-academic staff, by internationalizing career paths, promoting the exchange of best practices, and encouraging collaborative actions in teaching, training, research, and innovation. Additionally, the project sought to stimulate new forms of academic cooperation, particularly in research and knowledge transfer, with the goal of strengthening Iscte’s participation in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The project also aimed to consolidate Iscte’s relationships with its partner network and surrounding ecosystem, contributing to the development of cooperation projects aligned with EHEA guidelines, focused on university modernization and the promotion of European values. Finally, the project intended to develop the skills and competencies of students and staff in areas such as sustainability, digital transition, citizenship, interculturality, and democratic engagement. In doing so, it aimed to foster an increasingly inclusive, tolerant, and cohesive environment, enhance personal communication skills, promote mutual understanding in all Program activities, and strongly encourage active European citizenship.
