The project under analysis is based on the internationalization policy common to the three Higher Education Institutions that make up the Portuguese Red Cross Higher Education universe, composed of the Portuguese Red Cross School of Health - Lisbon (ESSCVP - Lisbon), the Portuguese Red Cross School of Health North (ESSNorteCVP) and the Portuguese Red Cross School of Health - Alto Tâmega (ESSCVP-AT), and which share the same ECHE - Erasmus Charter for Higher Education. It also aims to meet the institutional strategic plans, as well as the seven fundamental principles that govern the Red Cross (Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntarism, Unity and Universality). By implementing the project, we were able to strengthen the relationship between academia and the job market, creating real employment opportunities for participating students, alongside healthcare provider partners (the Terrassa University Hospital in Barcelona welcomed all Erasmus mobility students into its ranks); consolidate networks for research cooperation projects (COEHERE and RED CROSS HEALTH RESEARCH NETWORK) through the participation of mobile faculty, bringing stakeholders together and facilitating the sharing and development of new approaches and lines of research (Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Imaging, and Radiotherapy); promote multilingualism among participants, raising awareness of the importance of languages for their integrative role in personal and professional contexts; facilitate the digital transition and dematerialization in the context of administrative and academic procedures, familiarizing participants with effective EWP (Erasmus Without Paper); raise awareness of the green transition, leveraging support measures and encouraging participants to undertake green travel; support inclusion, with particular sensitivity to participants with needs and disadvantages at various levels and civic and participatory engagement in democratic life.
