Firstly, it should be explained that the beneficiary of the project, FEDRAVE (Foundation for the Study and Development of the Aveiro Region), is a private non-profit organisation that created ISCIA - Higher Institute of Information and Administration Sciences, a private polytechnic higher education institution that is not integrated. Thus, the entity implementing the KA131 HED - 2023 project was ISCIA, which is why this is the name used in this report, with FEDRAVE remaining the founding entity and responsible for all financial management of the project. ISCIA has valued the internationalisation of its activities (teaching and research) as one of its most valuable and priority strategic objectives. In fact, the promotion of internationalisation was assumed as an essential strategic axis, conveyed in the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan and reaffirmed in the new 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, and embodied, among other initiatives, by joining the Erasmus+ Programme and the formalisation, to date, of three applications to the KA131 HED Call for Proposals – 2021, 2023 and 2025 –, which have been accepted. As this is the second Erasmus+ KA131 project implemented by ISCIA, and following on from the results obtained in the 2021 project, the aim of the project under review was: i) to promote the establishment of new partnerships with other European and non-European HEIs and/or to strengthen existing partnerships, with a view to carrying out student and staff (teaching and non-teaching) mobility actions, as well as other initiatives, such as Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs); ii) improve the conditions for the participation of students, teachers and non-teaching staff, promoting an increase in mobility activities within the Erasmus+ Programme; iii) design, promote and implement, for the first time, a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP); and iv) attract students from other countries to study mobility actions, promoting their academic, cultural and social integration, as well as teachers, in teaching and/or training activities, contributing to the sharing and dissemination of knowledge and good teaching practices.
