The “DIVERURAL” project main objective is to "Promote and strengthen the inclusion and participation of migrant individuals in local communities." In this way, to achieve the main objectives, follows the next specific objectives: - Identify migrant actors in the community. - Provide training to migrant actors in the community in the Host Language. - Promote diversity through multicultural sharing. - Raise awareness among local institutions, entities, and organizations about the situation of the migrant community in the region. - Share experiences with partner organizations at the transnational level. - Disseminate project results at the local, regional, and European levels.
From the reflection of the needs and challenges of the rural sector, it is possible to find a difficulty that crosses these challenges: rural desertification. In this sense, the exodus of the rural population to cities not only means that there are fewer people living in these sectors, but also a difficulty in the development of these regions, due to the continuous neglect in which these areas find themselves by the public institutions. In this sense, the high and increasing migration rate of the countries involved in this project presents an opportunity to attract new people to these territories, helping to address some of the problems mentioned earlier. However, as rural areas often have a lower level of development, this is also reflected in their lack of preparation to face such changes and to receive these new inhabitants adequately, so it is very important for civil entities to work in this area in order to ensure these people integration and wellbeing.
