The overarching goal was to empower and develop youth workers and young participants, equipping them with tools for creativity, inclusion, and active citizenship. Through IGNITE and DRAMA, the project aimed to provide innovative, practical methods for professional growth, encourage intercultural dialogue and promote inclusion within youth communities. Objectives: a)IGNITE (Inspiring Growth, Novelty, and Innovative Thinking for Empowered Youth) Enhance Creativity and Innovation in Youth Work: Through a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge, youth workers gained insight into creativity and innovation in their field. The goal was to integrate creative methodologies such as divergent thinking, design thinking, gamification, and storytelling into youth work. Empower Youth Workers with Practical Skills: The project provided tools for youth workers to enhance critical thinking and engagement among young people, equipping them with innovative methods they could apply in their work settings. Foster Intercultural Exchange and Collaboration: Participants from various countries shared best practices, resources, and experiences, building intercultural competencies and professional networks that would support cross-cultural collaboration in youth work. Encourage Sustainable Impact and Leadership: By focusing on project implementation, IGNITE motivated participants to create projects with long-term benefits for their communities. Leadership, communication, and project management skills were core components, enhancing youth workers’ ability to lead impactful initiatives. Promote Intercultural Understanding: Activities like intercultural nights enabled participants to explore diversity, fostering appreciation for different cultural backgrounds and encouraging youth workers to integrate intercultural perspectives into their work. b) DRAMA (Drama as a Tool to Promote Inclusion) Personal and Professional Development through Non-Formal Learning: Through drama-based activities, young participants developed communication, empathy, and teamwork skills. These non-formal learning methods promoted growth outside traditional education, providing a dynamic environment for skill-building. Youth Empowerment and Active Citizenship: Participants were encouraged to express themselves, collaborate, and actively engage in decision-making, particularly in the creation of a theatre piece. This approach strengthened their confidence and understanding of democracy, preparing them for active roles in their communities. Capacity Building for Partner Organizations: The project enhanced Nó Górdio’s capacity to deliver cross-cultural initiatives, expanding networks and professional expertise among the partnering organizations. Youth workers were provided with tools to promote inclusion through drama, benefiting their local and international communities. Promote Inclusion, Diversity, and Human Rights: By exploring themes like equality, solidarity, and human rights, DRAMA created a safe space for participants from diverse backgrounds to connect and engage in intercultural dialogue, breaking down stereotypes and fostering mutual respect. These objectives were met through IGNITE’s focus on innovation and leadership development for youth workers and DRAMA’s emphasis on inclusion, active citizenship, and intercultural understanding. Together, they created a well-rounded foundation for empowering youth and youth workers, aligning with the Erasmus+ goals of fostering inclusion, active citizenship, and professional growth among young Europeans and with the objectives of the Accreditation approved and put into action.
