The ART TECHNO LAB project was designed to engage young individuals inspired by the creative industries, aiming to help them develop their artistic talents while addressing key European Union youth goals, such as participation in democratic life, through innovative use of digital technologies. The project brought together youth from six different countries, creating a platform for international collaboration and cultural exchange. Utilizing both real and virtual art residencies, the project strategically employed digital technologies to facilitate a blend of physical and digital interactions, ensuring the achievement of project objectives irrespective of geographical limitations. The project included the following specific objectives: Visual Art Tools: To enhance community cohesion and involve marginalized groups by employing visual arts and creative methodologies. This objective also aimed to upskill young people, improving their prospects for employment and job satisfaction. Entrepreneurial Education: To foster an entrepreneurial mindset among young people through exposure to social, digital, and cultural entrepreneurship, equipping them with the skills needed to initiate and manage innovative projects. Digital Education: To improve digital literacy among participants, promote better employment opportunities and job satisfaction. This includes fostering digital citizenship, as well as understanding the associated rights and responsibilities. The initiative provided basic digital skills and introduced tools for starting a business through practical activities. Our activities in the project made it easier to understand and use digital creativity and brand management by practically applying visual and digital technologies. The project's practical use of visual and digital technologies helped to understand and apply digital creativity and brand management through : Hands-on Workshops: We ran interactive sessions where participants could practice what they learned right away. Cultural Sharing: People from different backgrounds got to share their ideas and skills with each other. Using Technology: Together with the participants, we learned how to use digital tools to create art and promote their work online. Showing Art to the Public: We displayed the artwork created during the project on social media and our website. This enabled artists to gain recognition and instilled a sense of pride in the community. The project aimed to promote democracy and civic engagement in accordance with European principles through Democratic Participation. The residency (the project) promoted active involvement by letting participants help decide program details, ensuring they had a say in shaping their learning experience.
