The project aimed to strengthen organisations' capacity to stimulate young people's active citizenship (SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE SO1) and to train youth workers to design and facilitate stimulating and participatory processes using the Action-Study Circles methodology (SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE, SO2). The StudAct project was an opportunity to respond to some of the needs expressed by the participating workers and organisations, related to improving professional skills and tools (see needs N1, N4 and N12), and to extend the impact of the PRIP's educational proposal by replicating it in other countries (N7). It is also an opportunity for organisations that have some basic knowledge of Study-Action Circles but, according to them, "still lack the theoretical foundations and practical resources to extend their use in their organisational activities" (see needs N6, N9 and N10). On the other hand, the training can show strategies and resources for reaching young people when developing an active citizenship activity (see needs N2, N3 and N4). This is especially important for their work, since all the POs value young people as an essential part of building and promoting responses to the 21st century challenges, such as climate change or the sustainability paradigm. In addition, the project saw the meeting as an opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge in the non-formal education sector with young people (N6), especially in relation to the creation of study circles (N7 and N11). This meeting provided the opportunity to create a Transnational Working Community to promote educational programmes and active citizenship actions with young people. (TWC_StudAct).
