With the implementation of the ‘I HAVE A VOICE!’ project, we aim to respond to the lack of civic and democratic participation among young people in the European Union, especially those who find themselves in a situation of fewer opportunities, by promoting their active involvement in society through non-formal education methodologies. In a context marked by phenomena such as the economic crisis, populist movements, armed conflicts, the climate emergency and social exclusion, we considered it essential to empower young people to take an active role in building a more cohesive, democratic and sustainable society. At the start of the project, we identified the urgent need to combat young people's lack of motivation, alienation and disbelief in institutions and democratic life, causes that have led to worrying levels of abstention, disinterest and civic apathy. OBJECTIVES 1. General - To combat the lack of participation and democratic citizenship among young people in the EU, including those with fewer opportunities. 2. Specific - To make young people aware of their role and potential impact on society, connecting them with the different forms of participation; - To develop young people's competences for democratic participation, namely through ENF and games.
