We aimed at objectives to address digital transformation and social inclusion, foster cross-sector collaboration, give access to innovative digital resources to others and build the digital capacities of Y and YW in PT, RO and TR. - Conduct a local Mapping Report of 450 Y and YW to identify digital skill gaps and tailor all activities to meet these needs effectively. - Equip 76 Y with fewer opportunities, through 12 workshops, with digital skills and tools. This objective improves employability, active citizenship, and social inclusion while fostering personal development through NFE. - Provide a TC to 12 YW in advanced digital skills, tools and innovative NFE methodologies, enabling them to better support Y in their communities during their daily youth work. - Strengthen partnerships between NGOs, public authorities, and stakeholders by implementing 6 Brokerage Events (BE) with 60 Stakeholders, fostering long-term cooperation to empower Y and YW digitally - Ensure the project’s long-term impact at local, national and European levels by developing and disseminating 2 video playlists on digital skills and tools for YW and Y and hosting 3 Multiplier Events (ME) with 120 participants: regional and national stakeholders, YW and Y.
DIGEYA was born from the urgent need to analyse and bridge the digital skills gap among young people (Y) and youth workers (YW) with fewer opportunities in regions of PT, RO, and TR. A needs analysis during the project design phase and Mapping revealed significant challenges for Y in accessing and using digital tools critical for higher employability, active citizenship, and social inclusion. YW also lacked structured NFE methodologies and specific digital skills and tools to engage Y in their work. DIGEYA addressed the EU's digital transformation priorities and YG #3 (Inclusive Societies) and #9 (Space and Participation for All) by including 68 Y with fewer opportunities and youth engagement through innovative digital tools and events. We empowered Y and YW by addressing digital skill gaps found in the mapping. Y lacked proficiency with digital tools crucial for employability and active citizenship, while YW, NFE methodologies and tools to engage Y effectively. We filled these gaps through workshops for 113 Y and a TC for 12 YW. The BE and ME fostered cross-sectoral collaboration with local stakeholders and youth, ensuring community engagement and dissemination of results.
