Our main goal for this project was to equip youth workers from our 4 partner organizations with the necessary skills and mindset to use modern digital project management tools. We aimed to significantly improve the quality and efficiency of their work, enhancing their ability to manage and implement Erasmus+ projects. To achieve it we set following objectives: 1. Increase the readiness of 40 youth workers from 4 partner organizations to address digital transformation and utilize online project management tools by raising their overall digital skills to above basic level. 2. To digitalize youth work by configuring existing digital project management and collaboration tools Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 according to the needs and projects partner organizations implement and start using these tools for project management. 3. To develop simplified digital project management procedures in the form of digital guidelines for young people enabling them to manage and organize projects and create opportunity for young people to practice project management by organizing international learning mobility.
We applied for this project because the world of youth work is changing quickly due to technology, a trend even more accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our previous successful project, “Cool Collaboration,” highlighted a major opportunity to use freely available tools like Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365. We saw the potential to make youth work more efficient and effective but recognized that youth workers needed support to use this technology. This project addressed the clear need for youth workers to develop digital skills. Many struggled with basic digital tasks and could not use modern tools for project management or tackle online challenges like disinformation and cyberbullying. We provided practical training and support for Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365. We also addressed the need for accessibility by creating simplified guides, making these powerful tools understandable for other organizations and young people without prior training or knowledge. This allows more people in the youth field to improve their work in relation of using digital technologies.
