Through the implementation of the project 2023-1-RO01-KA131-HED-000119083, Titu Maiorescu University of Bucharest aimed to contribute to the process of academic internationalization and modernization by developing international mobility opportunities for students and academic staff. The central objective of the project was to support the creation of an open, inclusive, and competitive educational environment, through which participants could gain academic, professional, and intercultural experiences relevant to their personal and professional development. Through this project, the university sought to enhance the quality of higher education by integrating into international academic networks and cooperating with universities both within and outside the European Union. Student mobility for studies aimed to facilitate credit recognition and integrate the European academic experience into each participant’s educational path, with a particular focus on students undertaking their first mobility. Mobility for traineeships focused on the development of professional skills and offering insights into the requirements of the European and international labor market. Through staff teaching mobilities, the university aimed to encourage the exchange of best practices, the development of innovative teaching methods, and the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation. Training mobilities for administrative staff were intended to enhance institutional capacity and modernize internal university management processes. The project also aligned with key European horizontal priorities: promoting inclusion and diversity, encouraging the green transition by using sustainable means of transport, digitalizing mobility management processes, and strengthening the international dimension by diversifying study and training destinations. The expected impact was multifaceted: for students, the strengthening of academic, linguistic, and intercultural competences; for teaching staff, the modernization of teaching content and methodologies; and for the university, increased international visibility and an enhanced capacity to attract partnerships and cooperation projects. The implementation of the project aimed to integrate the university into a global academic community and to strengthen its position within the European Higher Education Area.
