Erasmus projects aimed at individual mobilities have a complex purpose. Specifically, the project completed in July 2025, dedicated to student and staff mobilities, had, on the one hand, the role of supporting the development of professional competences and the creation of new collaborations. On the other hand, equally important—or sometimes even more important—was the improvement of transversal skills, such as adapting to an international environment, enhancing communication abilities, and learning or improving language skills, both for participating students and academic staff. For some of the participants, the Erasmus project was the only opportunity to travel abroad in order to develop their intercultural competences. The Erasmus programme at our university is an extremely important part of the institution’s internationalisation strategy. In addition to qualitative goals, each year the aim is also to increase the number of mobilities within projects dedicated to individual mobilities. Therefore, compared to the 2022 project (KA131-2022), the number of contracted and completed mobilities was significantly higher. Under the KA131-2023 project, we carried out 318 mobilities out of 209 contracted, compared to the KA131-2022 project where we completed 220 mobilities out of 163 contracted. The contracted amounts were also higher than in the previous project (we committed an amount of EUR 419,585.00 under the KA131-2022 project, compared to EUR 560,633.00 under the KA131-2023 project).
