Objectives

In an academic context marked by rapid transformations, SNSPA consistently chooses to strengthen its position through a strategy focused on internationalization and institutional collaboration. The university has oriented itself toward consolidating international academic dialogue and promoting research, integrating these priorities into a coherent vision for development. A central element of this approach has been the Erasmus+ project, designed as a tool to multiply educational and professional opportunities. The main objective was to increase both the number and quality of international mobilities, enabling students, faculty, and administrative staff to access learning and research experiences within the European space. The project is fully aligned with the SNSPA Internationalization Strategy (2020–2025) which emphasizes academic mobility, an internationalized curriculum, partnerships and international networks with the main goal of integrating our university into the global academic network and increasing its competitiveness. It is also important to note that, within the current 2024 project, we aim to place stronger emphasis on inclusion, green transition, and participation in democratic life, essential areas for building a modern and responsible academic community. In this respect, the Erasmus+ Office actively participates in events dedicated to these themes, helping promote them among students and staff. We also keep a close eye on current developments and aim to adapt quickly, integrating new directions into university regulations and strategies. The objectives addressed both quantitative and qualitative dimensions. Quantitatively, the growth of mobilities was a priority. During the eligibility period, results exceeded expectations: while the previous project targeted a 20% increase, the final outcome showed growth of over 45%, even under a reduced budget for KA131 2023. This success demonstrates the growing interest in internationalization and transnational cooperation. Qualitatively, emphasis was placed on developing intercultural and linguistic skills, adaptability in diverse academic contexts, and international leadership abilities. These goals were achieved through workshops, seminars, and mentoring activities, as well as through the involvement of Erasmus+ Ambassadors and student volunteers, who supported the exchange of best practices and engagement in global academic networks. Continuous promotion of the Erasmus+ program and the identification of best practices to streamline the activity of the Erasmus+ Office also played a key role in ensuring ongoing improvement. The high level of participant satisfaction confirms the effectiveness and relevance of these efforts for the academic community. Erasmus+ projects at SNSPA have had a visible impact on the university community, supporting the professional, academic, and personal development of all participants. Students gained access to international learning experiences, improved their foreign language and intercultural skills, and enhanced their employability on the European labor market. Faculty members participated in teaching and research activities with international partners, strengthening scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange. Administrative staff developed new skills in educational management and the use of digital tools, contributing to more efficient organization Erasmus+ mobility management. In addition, the project fostered best practices, volunteering, and student engagement, consolidating the European spirit and shared values within university life. The project also contributed to modernizing the university curriculum and aligning it with international standards, supporting an educational environment based on inclusion, tolerance, and equity. Moreover, SNSPA’s participation in the CIVICA European alliance provided an additional framework for academic collaboration and access to high-quality educational resources. CIVICA aims to build a common European research space and to integrate advanced research in social sciences with teaching and learning. Together with its CIVICA partners, SNSPA will continue to develop initiatives that enhance academic quality and provide direct benefits to students, faculty, and administrative staff.
