Objectives

The Military Technical Academy "Ferdinand I" (MTA) is a military polytechnic higher education institution that has the mission of training engineers and engineering officers for the specific needs of the Ministry of National Defense and other beneficiaries from the national defense, public order and national security system. The participation of the Military Technical Academy ''Ferdinand I" (MTA) in Erasmus+ type mobilities represents one of the pillars that support the institutional strategy regarding internationalization, so that most of its objectives are achieved through the implementation of these projects. It is one of the main means of increasing the international visibility of the institution, by creating new partnerships as well as by consolidating existing ones, according to the declared strategy. The Military Technical Academy Ferdinand I has been participating in Erasmus+ type mobility programs for over 25 years. The objective of the project 2023-1-RO01-KA131-HED-000146396 was to carry out 43 mobilities (23 students, respectively 2 SMS and 21 SMT, respectively 20 teaching and administrative staff, equally distributed, 10 STA and 10 STT) and the implementation of a Blended Intensive Program with 15 attendees in compliance with the conditions and performances assumed by the Erasmus+ University Charter 2021-2027 (ECHE). The objective was achieved and even exceeded. We wanted to be able to offer to our students and to our cadets, high-level scientific internships in partner universities, complemented by intercultural, linguistic and, last but not least, experiences of the local environment in those countries. This project also offered the opportunity for teaching staff and administrative staff to improve their professional training through teaching and training internships, in order to increase the quality of teaching and the acquisition of good practices. We wanted and we believe that we have succeeded in keeping up with the latest trends of top universities in Europe, to maintain the level of modernity and innovation at a high percentage, while promoting inclusion and equal opportunities.
