By implementing the project, our overarching aim was to address pressing societal challenges related to the reception and integration of refugees and migrants, the prevention of racism and discrimination, and the mitigation of radicalization. Our vision was to create a platform for constructive dialogue, mutual understanding, and solidarity among diverse communities, fostering a culture of inclusivity, tolerance, and respect. Through a series of targeted activities, we sought to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become agents of positive change in their communities and contribute to the creation of a more just, equitable, and cohesive society. At the heart of our project lay the desire to provide young participants with transformative learning experiences that would deepen their awareness of human rights issues, enhance their intercultural competence, and cultivate their capacity for empathy and solidarity. We aimed to create a supportive and nurturing environment where participants could engage in meaningful exchanges, share perspectives and insights, and develop a sense of shared responsibility for promoting social cohesion and inclusion. Through interactive workshops, experiential learning activities, and peer-to-peer interactions, we sought to equip participants with practical tools and strategies for challenging stereotypes, combating discrimination, and promoting intercultural understanding. Furthermore, we aimed to foster the emergence of a new generation of leaders committed to advancing human rights, social justice, and peacebuilding. By providing participants with opportunities for leadership development, skills training, and community engagement, we aimed to empower them to take action on issues they care about and become catalysts for positive change in their communities. We envisioned participants returning to their home countries inspired and emboldened to advocate for the rights and dignity of refugees and migrants, challenge prejudice and discrimination, and promote dialogue and reconciliation. Overall, our goal was to create a ripple effect of positive change that would extend beyond the duration of the project, impacting not only the participants themselves but also their peers, families, communities, and wider society. We aimed to foster a sense of collective ownership and agency among participants, encouraging them to become active citizens and ambassadors for social justice and inclusion in their respective contexts. Through our collective efforts, we aspired to contribute to the realization of a more inclusive, equitable, and harmonious world, where all individuals are respected, valued, and empowered to fulfill their potential. Also, we seek to support the international mobility projects and make them known to the local society. This opportunity was a chance for the people of Drobeta to observe the multicultural beauty and for the young people to get more information about these mobility opportunities that will help them to get in touch with the intercultural spirit and mature with the help of it. We strongly believe in the Erasmus+ values, and we want to share this belief with the participants, in order to make them understand the importance of human respect and inclusion inside the society. We would also like to contribute in creating a more open and welcoming society, starting from this project, as we see the group of a Youth Exchange as a small community where we can recreate different situations from real life, and starting from this point of view we want to try to understand what it can be like to face difficult problems in our lives, as the migrant have to do every day. In concrete, main objectives of the project were: - To facilitate learning process for 20 young people about problems that young refugees from Arab countries and Africa are facing nowadays through a 7 days activity programme. -To improve knowledge, skills on intercultural learning, diversity, and EU values for 20 young people aged 18-25 from 4 different countries; -To improve skills for 20 young people aged 18-25 in encouraging intercultural dialogue and building mutual understanding between new arrivals and the receiving communities; -To raise awareness of 800 young people living in 4 countries on contemporary problems and challenges related to migration through dissemination activities during one month after the YE finishes; -To develop at least 4 new future projects ideas for young refugees using Erasmus+ Programme opportunities that will be applied on the next deadline
