he main purpose of the project was to enable the four partner organizations to develop and strengthen networks, build their capacity to operate at a transnational level, and to share and develop ideas, practices, and methods in the field of youth labor market integration tools. A detailed analysis was carried out, while the tools and methodologies were considered as a starting point for the implementation phase. Cooperation among the involved countries helped the partners gain a better understanding of the differences and similarities in mindsets regarding the labor market at the European level. The project supported the staff of the participating NGOs in exchanging good practices in research, developing local workshops, and implementing local awareness and dissemination events. A concept note for the project was drafted and circulated through interested organizations that had complementary experience in facilitating youth integration into the labor market, using creative tools for awareness campaigns developed by young people. The three participating NGOs had previously successfully implemented small Erasmus+ projects together, while the AMES association was newly established and participated in this action and Erasmus+.
Based on the activities and research conducted by the partners, it was concluded that young people had weak preparation for entering the labor market. The requirements for youth integration into the labor market at the European level varied. The needs of young people were identified through a research process that used a questionnaire as the main instrument, applied to 400 young people from all participating countries (100 young people per country). The results of the research were compiled and are presented in detail in Annex 2. The specific needs of young people, shared by all partners, included: the need to develop communication, negotiation, and listening skills in a non-formal context; the need for social and professional integration; the need for a sense of belonging to a group; the need for self-awareness and understanding of personal and professional goals; and the need to understand the tools, techniques, and recruitment methods used by employers. The identified needs within the target group were: the need for effective vocational counseling for labor market integration, the need to understand and acquire transversal skills, and the need to understand the characteristics of the youth labor market.
