The project objectives are: O1)develop an innovative curriculum and content focused on environmental engineering (Climate Change/Green Energy/Industrial Strategy for Circular Economy/Green Agriculture/Biodiversity/Zero Pollution (priority-Digital&Green capabilities); O2)provide students&teachers the knowledge and skills needed to understand the theoretical and practical aspects of EGD, to develop the competencies required to participate in the transition to a clean, circular economy and restoration of biodiversity (priority-1-HE topics-1&2); O3)development and implementing digital education methodologies based on chatbot solutions/gamification techniques&AI techniques, which will be used for self-assessment/assessment of the knowledge acquired by the students (priority 2-HE topics 1&2); O4)enhancing the e-form of the curricula&contents, making them easily accessible and available for all interested parties (priority 2-HE topics-1&2); O5)integrating gender equality into all aspects of the project, to ensure that the project results and outcomes are inclusive equitable and have a lasting positive impact on society as a whole (priority-3); O6)integrate universities (priority-HE topic-3).
We initiated this project to develop innovative university curricula and materials that prepare students for careers in a green economy and society, equipping them with essential digital skills. The project concentrates on two main areas: 1)European Green Deal (EGD): Rooted in the foundational elements of the European Green Deal (EGD), this area focuses on sustainable engineering practices; 2) Digital Education (DEdu): This involves assessing student progress and competencies through digital methods such as chatbots, gamification, and AI techniques. The project addresses two critical needs: a) enhancing students' understanding of the transition to a green economy; b) developing students' digital skills, especially those related to the EGD, to prepare them for the future better. This approach aligns with the Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027) and supports the EGD's objective of achieving climate neutrality in Europe by 2050.
