Background

The TELL Youth – Train Environmental Lifelong Learning for Youth project responds to common needs identified in Constanța (Romania), Kalamata (Greece), and Nîmes (France). In all regions, young people lack access to accurate environmental information, practical skills, and opportunities to engage in ecological actions. In Greece, youth show limited knowledge and experience in organizing environmental initiatives; in Romania, low civic engagement and dissatisfaction with local environmental conditions highlight the need for awareness and cleaner spaces; in France, there is a strong need for inclusive digital education to reach and empower young people. The project addresses these gaps through an innovative combination of environmental education, digital learning, and youth participation, promoting biodiversity awareness and sustainability. By creating the Virtual Herbarium and the Environmental Stewards eBook, it enhances young people’s digital, creative, and environmental competences while fostering community involvement and European cooperation.
