Objectives

Internationalization of higher education is a process of vital importance for inclusion of University in the unique European educational area. One of the pillars of that process is mobility of students, teachers and non-teaching staff, and that is why the participation in mobility projects is expected to enable the University of Niš more extensive involvement in the contemporary trends of inter-university cooperation in the region, Europe and the world. The process further leads to transformation into an international university that provides its students with high level of knowledge and enables them to contribute to a global progress. The mobility provides chances to gain new knowledge, establish new contacts and learn about other educational systems and institutions. Learning through mobility helps students increase their professional, social and intercultural skills, as well as their employability, while improving their ability to perform in various environments. Teachers are the bearers of internationalization and must be well trained to educate students to compete at the international level. The participation of non-teaching staff is important for supporting the internationalization process, which must be provided in a professional manner based on European standards. Hence, we have a clear goal to increase the numbers of our students, teachers, and non-teaching staff participating in mobility projects as much as possible.
