Anyone who wants to study within Municipal Adult Education has the right to an initial survey of their skills and receive guidance regarding study and career choices. We wanted to get ideas about how our tools for validation of knowledge could be developed in order to be able to organize more individually tailored education and how the collaboration with professional life could be developed both in terms of validation and new learning.
Adult education in Sundsvall offers different types of vocational training in various professional fields, location-based, validation training or apprenticeship training. The training takes place partly under its own management (Health and Social Care and Child and Recreation Programme), partly via external training providers. Since the student group is so heterogeneous in terms of age, educational background and work experience, validation and individual adaptation are of great importance.
