Objectives

Participation in Erasmus+ and implementing this project, is vital to MIUNs internationalization and our work towards our strategy goals. This project allows us to implement a wide variety of activities to benefit our student population, teachers, staff, and the surrounding society. Our Action plan for internationalisation, EPS, and our participation in European University Alliance (EUI) all underscore that at MIUN, international cooperation and mobility is a means to enhance the quality of our education, research and societal interaction. For example, one of the goals in the university strategy is to foster academic environments that are strong and take on global challenges and to engage in activities on the global arena that fuel and contribute to the development of the region. Further, implementing this project supports another strategy goal; to make knowledge accessible to more people, throughout life, through our research and education. As the only university in the region, MIUN has a unique opportunity to impact and give the surrounding society access to and the opportunity to benefit both from higher education activities, for example by including international activities in line with the horizontal priorities. In addition, during the previous project period, the EUI alliance ChallengeEU of which Mid Sweden University is a member was selected. The work with the alliance will further enhance internationalisation and the implementation of this project
