The University of Gävle continues to regard the Erasmus+ programme as an essential tool in achieving the operational goals presented in the University’s Education and Research Strategy (2021- 2030). The Erasmus+ programme is necessary for improving competence and quality in an inclusive and sustainable way. Our operational goals have a clear international component. Three of the six strategies to achieve these goals include sustainable, internationally oriented education and research, long-term collaborative partnerships, as well as innovative and digital learning environments, all of which are in line with Erasmus+ principles. Since January 2023, the University of Gävle is part of the European Universities alliance EU GREEN focusing on international cooperation and mobility, particularly on social inclusion and the green and digital transition. Within EU GREEN we continue to advance in the development of long-term partnerships for the benefit of all students and staff. In agreement with the goals and strategies of our institution, our goal for this project (EUI, Call 2023) continues to focus on encouraging more students to participate in mobility in different forms and to spread the opportunities for training and teaching mobilities. We continue to improve the current and new tactical and managerial approaches to better achieve our goal for the project. One example is an increased focus on Blended intensive programmes and the development of joint programmes.
