The Erasmus+ Programme plays a key role in the University’s efforts to achieve the goals outlined in its 2023–2026 Development Plan and European Policy Statement. Through close collaboration with foreign universities, primarily through student and staff exchange and research collaborations, the University is able to improve its own operations and prepare its students for participation in an increasingly internationalised global landscape. The main goals for this project were: 1) To increase the number of both incoming and outgoing student and staff exchanges. Staff mobility is the backbone for building long-lasting relationships and the bases for sustainable student mobility. 2) To strengthen the University’s relationships with its partner universities. The University´s mobility and cooperation targets can only be achieved through high quality and sustainable partnerships. 3) To develop internationalisation at home, such as by improving the integration between Swedish and foreign students in teaching. Staff mobility for teaching will also contribute in strengthening the international dimension in the education. The University further sought to broaden participation among underrepresented disciplines and student groups, supported by flexible formats such as blended mobility.
