Through the Erasmus+ 2023 project, Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH) aimed to strengthen its role as an internationally leading artistic university by creating opportunities for students, doctoral candidates, and staff to participate in academic, artistic, and professional exchanges. The intention was to provide students with valuable international perspectives, to strengthen their artistic practice, and to enhance their employability by linking education more closely to working life both nationally and internationally. For doctoral candidates and staff, the project sought to provide professional and pedagogical development by engaging with different teaching cultures, artistic traditions, and administrative practices abroad. At the same time, SKH aimed to bring international expertise and perspectives back into the learning environment, thereby enriching the quality of education and research at the institution. Another goal was to expand and deepen cooperation with Erasmus+ partner universities. By building stronger and more sustainable partnerships, SKH wanted to create better conditions for future student and staff exchanges. In addition, the project was intended to support SKH’s strategic vision: to be an open educational environment characterised by international perspectives, where artistic education and research create the conditions for art as a dynamic, challenging, and independent force in society. SKH also aimed to implement an approved Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) to diversify the forms of mobility available and to strengthen cooperation with other partner universities.
