Objectives

Stockholm University is a decentralized HEI with strong departments that develop their contacts and collaborations independently. The main objective of international cooperation agreements and mobility activities is to strengthen the quality of research and education. International exchange in education and research is important to strengthen the development, democratisation and modernisation processes. Stockholm University should be an attractive institution for both Swedish and international researchers, teachers and students. Active and increased incoming and outgoing mobility of students and staff, as well as the recruitment of international students and staff contributes to this. In our European Universities Alliance Civis, a broad range of joint activities are being developed with mobility at the core of the partnership. The continued development of working with strategic partner universities and active participation in international networks, particularly at the European level, are important components of the University’s international profile. The Erasmus programme helps us to fulfil many of our international objectives.
