Objectives

The project aimed to achieve several important objectives that are aligned with Fryshuset's mission to support the personal development of youth and youth workers in the EU and Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries. Firstly, we wanted to develop training and funding opportunities. Through the Accreditation, Fryshuset and its partners sought to provide information about available resources and training sessions, helping participants discover options for personal development that they might not have known existed. For example, during the Lead to Change Youth Exchange in Kalmar, Sweden, participants learned about self-leadership and feedback culture, which are vital skills for their personal and professional development. Another key objective was to facilitate the exchange of best practices among youth and youth workers. We organized workshops and collaborative sessions to create a platform for sharing experiences, allowing participants to learn from each other and improve their methods. One of the example of this was during the Climbing Minds exchange in Stavanger, Norway, where young leaders engaged in resilience-building activities through rock climbing and mental health workshops. This provided a unique opportunity for participants to share strategies for overcoming personal challenges. Additionally, we aimed to help youth and youth workers define and visualize their competencies. By providing tools and training in this area, we empowered participants to articulate their skills effectively, which is essential for their personal growth and future opportunities. In the Lovely Queer Days Youth Exchange in Stockholm, participants were encouraged to express their identities and competencies through various artistic and cultural activities, ultimately helping them understand their strengths better. Moreover, dur Creating opportunities for intercultural collaboration was also a priority. We organized various exchanges, like the Basket in Lithuania, where young basketball players from Lithuania and Sweden worked together, discussing values and engaging in cultural dialogues. This not only enhanced their basketball skills but also promoted mutual understanding and respect among different cultures. The project also focused on empowering youth to become agents of social change. Recognizing that many young people desire social change but feel powerless to make it happen, we aimed to equip them with the tools, networks, and support they need to influence their communities positively. For example, in the Planet One Youth Exchange in Stockholm, participants discussed climate justice and engaged in activism, learning how to advocate for environmental issues in their own communities. Moreover, the Youthpass Certificate was offered to all of the participants of the Youth Exchanges or Professional Development activities. So, the project sought to increase awareness of training and funding opportunities, foster the sharing of best practices, help participants define their competencies, create opportunities for intercultural collaboration, and empower young people to engage in social change. By offering training, peer learning, and collaborative activities, we aimed to cultivate informed, active, and engaged youth ready to make a positive impact in their communities. By providing training, opportunities to learn from each other, and teamwork activities, we aimed to help young people become knowledgeable, active, and engaged so they could make a positive difference in their communities.
