Implement the adventure learning method into our nature/adventure activities in a more conscious way. Connect to partners in Europe with similar activities. Understand what transferable competences there are in our nature/adventure activities. See what key competences are involved in different nature/adventure activities. How the activities work on identity of the participant - self image. Highlight the possible outdoor activities there are in our respective regions and in Europe as a whole Create more leaders in our organisations (and other European NGO´s) that uses nature/adventure activities consciously. Promoting experiential nature activities potential to understand ecology and foster care for the natural environment. Let a group of educators/leaders/youth workers explore and deepen their understanding of the leaning impact of adventure and what aspects of an activity creates adventure and how to design learning of transferable skills into the activity. Make target groups aware of the diverse and wonderful nature we have in Europe and how it can be used in adventure learning. And point at that these geographical features are part of our identity/culture.
Our organization has a strong link to nature due to our location and our activities. Forest, sea and to some extent mountain. More and more of our activities over the years started to include adventure, because E+ and ESC participants liked it and our members liked it. Our activities are mostly with young people and many of them seek adventure. To explore the new and even uncertainty and risk. In the beginning our activities in nature with adventure was more seen like "entertainment" and fun. It grew on us as we designed more and more elaborate adventures where there were an impact we where not being fully aware of - in the experiential activities in a non-formal setting there were educational aspects, both soft skills and hard skills. In the beginning some walks in wild nature to put focus on ecology. Swimming, jumping from cliffs for wellbeing and fun. Canoe trips that got longer and longer. Climbing with ropes on cliffs. Freediving and snorkeling. We saw the team bonding effects. We realized that our Educational Larp was actually adventure, with fights and sneaking in the forests in the nights. We started formalizing and designing the educational aspects more and more deliberately. In 2022 we decided to get serious about it.
