The Vocational College of Hospitality and Tourism Maribor (VSGT Maribor) has a long-standing tradition of international cooperation, which enriches our study programmes, strengthens the competencies of our students and staff, and contributes to the development of the wider tourism and hospitality industry. Through the implementation of this Erasmus+ project, we wanted to create continuous opportunities for knowledge transfer, to expand and diversify our international partner network, and to foster cultural awareness, inclusion, and language proficiency among all participants. These objectives are directly aligned with our Internationalisation Strategy 2020–2030, which emphasises: - maintaining and increasing the quality of student and staff mobility, - developing international study programmes, - strengthening our role in international professional associations, and - supporting intercultural understanding and sustainable tourism practices. By implementing the project, we also supported the development of our gastronomy, tourism, and wellness departments. International inputs have translated into innovative teaching, modern hospitality approaches, and new practices in our Michelin-rated Restaurant Sedem. In line with our strategy, we encouraged students to take part in international traineeships in high-quality organisations abroad, while staff mobilities ensured the transfer of new trends, international cooperation, and innovation into our teaching and practice. In this way, Erasmus+ directly contributes to our mission of becoming a regional reference point in hospitality, tourism, and wellness education, and to our long-term vision of excellence, inclusion, and internationalisation in vocational education.
