Objectives

Through the implementation of the Erasmus+ KA131 project, EMUNI University aimed to support and strengthen its role as an internationally oriented university that connects students, researchers, and higher education professionals. The main objective of the project was to enable high-quality, inclusive, and strategically oriented mobilities that go beyond mere physical exchange and contribute meaningfully to the long-term development of the institution, individuals, and academic networks. With this project, we sought to achieve several key goals that directly contribute to enhancing the quality of educational processes, increasing the level of internationalisation, and fostering more effective international cooperation within the European Higher Education Area. Our goals included: Increasing the mobility of students and staff to enable them to gain new professional, linguistic, and intercultural experiences that enrich their academic and personal development, while also strengthening their employability and adaptability in the global labour market. Promoting inclusive mobility, with a special focus on students from socially, economically, or otherwise disadvantaged backgrounds, to ensure equal opportunities for participation in international experiences and to reduce barriers to mobility. Enhancing the professional and pedagogical competences of staff through training and teaching activities abroad, which allows for the transfer of good practices, innovative methods, and experiences into our local environment and contributes to institutional capacity building. Fostering the exchange of knowledge and experience in multicultural environments that promote openness, respect for diversity, and the development of global awareness among all participants. Strengthening the internationalisation of our institution through the establishment and consolidation of long-term strategic partnerships with foreign higher education institutions, which supports knowledge transfer, improvement of study programmes, and the development of joint projects. Raising the visibility and reputation of our institution at the international level and contributing to its long-term and sustainable development through active participation in the European Higher Education Area. Supporting the digital transformation of higher education through the use of digital tools in the organisation, monitoring, and implementation of mobility, in line with the principles of digital mobility (Erasmus Without Paper, Online Learning Agreements). Encouraging environmentally responsible choices among participants, such as so-called “green mobility,” and raising awareness of sustainable development and climate change as key topics of international cooperation. Throughout the implementation of the project, we consistently adhered to the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and all relevant guidelines and requirements of the Erasmus+ programme, ensuring high standards of quality, transparency, equality, and non-discrimination in the implementation of mobilities. With these objectives, we aimed to ensure long-term benefits for both individuals and the institution as a whole. Special emphasis was placed on high-quality, sustainable, and inclusive mobility, accessible to all, contributing to a more connected, resilient, and competent European Higher Education Area.
