Objectives

Project was implemented in line with quantitative and qualitative objectives. We carried out all planned exchanges and used 96.5% of EU funds. Our goals are student-oriented study, effective partnership for development in a changing world, high employability of graduates, financially stable operations, and employee satisfaction and personal growth. We are refining the process-based project quality system established in the past and carefully monitoring the effects of all forms of exchange. For 18 years, the exchange project has been an effective tool for achieving the vision of ŠC Kranj "WE EDUCATE FOR THE JOBS OF THE FUTURE WITH MODERN KNOWLEDGE AND GOOD INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN ALL PARTICIPANTS" and the vision of VSŠ "WE WANT TO BECOME AN EXCELLENT SCHOOL FOR THE JOBS AND SOCIETY OF THE FUTURE." We are implementing the project in accordance with EU guidelines, ECHE 2020-2027, the revised EPS, and in line with the inclusion strategy, in which, in addition to eight groups, we also identified students with athlete status, for which we were awarded the "Recognition for a developed approach to promoting dual careers and providing athlete-friendly education" at the national level in February 2024. We have revised the VSŠ strategy "Long-term development program of VSŠ ŠC Kranj, period 2026-2031." It sets out four basic guidelines for operation. We respect the statement on equality set out in the documents and thus create a working environment that has the greatest possible positive impact on the professional and personal development of students and employees. As friendships are formed between employees through exchanges, this project has a significant positive impact on the atmosphere at our institution. We raise awareness of the importance of respecting values in achieving goals, such as diligence, professionalism, responsibility, innovation, ethics, cooperation, honesty, positivity, and care for the environment. We develop a positive organizational climate for all stakeholders, taking into account human rights and freedoms and respecting the protection of personal data. Belonging to the school and cooperation with the economy and the local environment are important components of our success, which is why we transfer knowledge that enables their successful integration into the national and global environment. In this regard, the exchange project is one of the important means of achieving our recognition and competitiveness. We measure the positive effects of exchanges through the criteria for achieving the goals of international activity, as set out in the VSŠ Development Strategy. We have established an effective and proven system of support for all participants before, during, and after the exchange, as well as an effective system for recognizing achievements obtained abroad, which we are constantly improving. We maintain and nurture existing partnerships and establish new ones. Activities in other international projects are transferred to the exchange project and vice versa. In implementing the project, we place great emphasis on spreading the positive effects of the project to exchange participants, our institution, and local and global organizations. This is done through various forms (at the Information and Introduction Day, at specially organized presentations by program and year, at faculty meetings, in the form of personal interviews, etc.) and we are spreading the effects of the project internationally. We are promoting the project in internal and local media and in other ways, including informal ones. We are particularly proud of the praise from the external agency assessing the NAKVIS quality system, which expressed a positive opinion on both the functioning of the institution as a whole and the exchange project, the Erasmus+ program, and at the national level, "Recognition for a developed approach to promoting dual careers and providing athlete-friendly education." We will continue to work on the project to realize the common vision of EU member states by developing knowledge, skills, and attitudes towards climate change and sustainable development, and by supporting comprehensive institutional approaches to education for sustainable development and social responsibility. We are introducing digitalisation and promoting paperless business. We have included several individuals with fewer opportunities in the project, and in its implementation we are strengthening European identity, active citizenship and participation in democratic life. Participants have gained personal knowledge and skills that they will be able to effectively transfer to the local and global environment, while our institution has gained prestige and recognition on a global scale. Students in particular gain valuable professional experience and high functional skills, and as employees in companies, they represent a valued innovative workforce for the needs of the economy at the local and global level.
