The Higher Vocational College of the School Center Nova Gorica offers programs in Computer Science and Informatics (renovated in 2024), Mechatronics, and Landscape Management. As a result, we are focused on designing activities and projects that generate synergistic effects across all three areas. In 2023, we updated the Erasmus+ strategy, aimed at developing a comprehensive approach that combines the use of digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), automation, and robotics, supporting the green transition, and fostering critical evaluation, creativity, innovation, and intuition. The strategy includes ensuring equal opportunities for all participants, especially for students and staff with fewer opportunities. It is documented and publicly accessible at: https://vss.scng.si/projekti/erasmus/. The trend that employers inquire about professionals even before computer science and mechatronics students complete their studies has further strengthened during the 2023 project period. More and more students are choosing to undertake practical training with their future employers, leading to a significant decline in interest for Erasmus+ mobilities. Within the 2023 project framework, we continued to raise awareness among employers to encourage students to actively participate in Erasmus+ mobilities. We recognize that Nova Gorica itself is not a location that attracts students and staff on its own. Therefore, as a school, we need to put in more effort and work to be attractive to our partners. Our goal is to continue offering content-rich and high-quality mobilities and to provide above-standard services that will further increase the number of incoming students. This way, we enhance the opportunities for high-quality long-term mobility for our students within the SMP program. In the area of staff mobility, we have set the goal of professional development in the field of the employee’s profession, in line with the objectives of the renewed Erasmus+ strategy, and of transferring acquired knowledge and experiences between staff and students. One of the objectives was also to increase the number of mobilities within the former republics of the common state. Additionally, we plan to expand the number of international partners for mobilities. International mobility will be implemented as part of the 2024 project.
