As stated in the EPS Charter, the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences Slovenj Gradec (FZSV SG) strives to become recognized both in Slovenia and in the wider European area by empowering its students with knowledge, with an emphasis on practical applicability, thereby equipping them with the competences needed to transfer academic knowledge into clinical practice. Since the academic year 2022/23, in addition to the undergraduate study program Nursing, FZSV SG has also been offering the undergraduate study program Physiotherapy. Therefore, in 2022, the faculty included in its annual action plan the mobility of young academic staff who had just started teaching in the new study program. Such mobility would allow staff to further their expertise abroad, to learn good practices from partners who have been running the program for several years, and conversely, to introduce new, young ideas at our partner institutions. However, as the faculty encountered the challenge of how to attract young teaching staff to Erasmus mobility, it decided to focus the 2023 project specifically on motivating young teaching staff to participate in mobility. The project was designed so that both the management and the international office could enhance their expertise abroad and learn from partners who carry out more mobilities annually by studying their examples of good practice. In the field of student mobility, the faculty sought to make mobility more accessible to employed part-time students and student parents. Employed part-time students form the largest student group at FZSV SG, and at the same time, they are those who have the most doubts about participating in mobility. These students must take annual leave from their regular employment, which they already sacrifice significantly in the course of their regular studies, and therefore perceive mobility as too great a burden. By engaging these students in mobility, the faculty could reduce doubts among their peers and increase the number of candidates for mobility.
