Through the implementation of the Erasmus+ KA131 project, which enables individual mobilities of students and staff, the University of Ljubljana aimed to contribute to the personal and professional development of its participants and provide them with high-quality opportunities for learning and international cooperation. Mobility is one of the key tools for fulfilling the university’s mission, as it enables the acquisition of new knowledge, skills, and competences essential for successful participation in contemporary society. Our main objectives were to offer participants the chance to develop competences for active involvement in a democratic society, to strengthen intercultural understanding, and to ensure an easier transition to the labour market through high-quality, inclusive, and international education. By gaining new experiences and skills, our students and staff become more adaptable, open to cooperation, and better prepared for the challenges of an increasingly mobile, multicultural, and digital world. At the same time, the project supports the achievement of the strategic goals of the University of Ljubljana, which include providing excellent learning experiences and high employability of graduates, achieving excellence in science and the arts, strengthening the university’s role as a prestigious partner institution for knowledge transfer and innovation, fostering an academic environment based on respect for diversity, and creating broader social impacts in terms of well-being and progress. The Erasmus+ programme, with its financial support, clear guidelines, and mechanisms for continuous improvement, allows us to achieve these objectives more effectively, to enhance the quality of our processes, and to reinforce the university’s position as an open, inclusive, and internationally connected academic community.
