With the Erasmus+ KA131-HED 2023–2025 project, the Faculty of Polymer Technology (FTPO) wanted to achieve the goals set out in the Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS), while also supporting the development and modernization of all three pillars of the faculty's operations: education, research and cooperation with industry. The project was designed in accordance with the faculty's institutional strategy, which highlights among its strategic goals: "To train graduates for the challenges of the future in a rapidly changing world" and "To become a valued partner of the polymer industry in Slovenia and abroad". With the project, we wanted to enable students to acquire professional, practical, linguistic and intercultural competences in an international environment, which contributes to their personal, academic and professional development and increases employability. At the same time, we wanted to strengthen international mobility, increase internationalization and the international recognition of the faculty. In this programme period, we have set ourselves goals that are consistent with the upgraded Erasmus policy: to upgrade the existing networks of strategic partnerships with selected higher education institutions in the field of polymer technology and related fields, to increase the number of student, staff and researcher mobility and to promote sustainable and European values, inclusion and diversity. The mobility provided students with in-depth practical work with advanced laboratory equipment, research experience and personal development, and employees with professional development, which is directly transferred to teaching and research work. In addition, we have established systematic mechanisms for supporting, monitoring and disseminating mobility results, thereby ensuring the transfer of acquired knowledge to the wider academic and local community and strengthening the long-term strategic development of FTPO as a higher education institution in the European space.
