With the Erasmus+ mobility project No. 2023-1-SI01-KA131-HED-000139569, we wanted to achieve both the short-term and long-term goals we set in advance. In the short term, the most important goal was to successfully carry out all approved mobilities, ensure their quality implementation and complete the project fully and in accordance with the expectations of the National Agency. The successful realization of the mobility did not only mean the formal achievement of the planned numbers, but also the fact that the mobilities meant real added value for the participants – whether in the field of personal growth, professional and academic development, acquisition of new competences and knowledge, or in terms of expanding international connections and views. In this way, the basic purpose was to ensure that the mobilities were not only implemented, but also of high quality and meaningful, with long-term effects for both individuals and the institution. An important goal of the project was therefore for the participants to acquire new knowledge and competences during the mobility, which will be useful to them in their further academic work or career. In doing so, we did not want to stay only with individual effects but also had a broader context in mind: the experience gained, and the competences of the participants represent an important contribution to the development of the institution and the strengthening of its role in the international arena. After their return, participants enrich their home environment, bring new ideas, introduce innovative approaches to teaching or studying, and thus affect the quality of work within the institution. We wanted the participants to actively share their positive experience – with colleagues, classmates, professors and the wider academic community. In this way, a multiplier effect is successfully created, which can stimulate the interest of others to engage in similar mobilities in the future. The aim was to use examples of good practice to increase motivation among both students and staff, as personal stories and direct experience are often the most effective in stimulating interest in international cooperation. As a result, this may lead to an increase in the number of applications for mobilities and to a gradual expansion of the culture of internationalization within the institution. In the long run, we wanted to achieve that successfully implemented mobilities contribute to the growth and development of the institution. One of the key ambitions was to increase the international visibility of the institution and to consolidate its position as an institution that actively operates in the international academic space and offers quality opportunities to its students and staff. This is particularly important for private higher education institutions, which must prove themselves to be attractive and of high quality in a competitive environment. By providing students with access to mobility, we offer them added value that they can consider when deciding to enroll, while at the same time strengthening the reputation of the institution among foreign partners. Furthermore, we wanted the positive effects of the project to spread beyond our institution, to the wider local environment. Mobility participants can influence their local communities when they return with the experience they have gained – either by sharing experiences or by introducing new ideas and practices. In doing so, they can contribute to greater openness of the local environment to international cooperation, to greater cultural awareness and acceptance of diversity. At national level, mobilities can contribute to a broader understanding of the importance of internationalization, as individuals who have experienced living and working abroad often also become messengers of values such as tolerance, respect for cultural differences, solidarity and active citizenship. One of the goals was also for the participants to gain insight into different cultures, different ways of thinking and different approaches to work and life through mobility. This experience can have a profound impact on their personal development – increasing adaptability, boosting self-confidence, encouraging critical thinking, and opening their worldview. Such experiences often motivate participants to become more active in their environment, to get involved in projects, to participate in international networks and to share the acquired knowledge and experience with others. Together, the project aimed to achieve multifaceted goals: short-term successful implementation of all approved mobilities, ensuring the quality and satisfaction of participants, increasing interest in mobility and strengthening the culture of internationalization in the medium term, and raising the visibility and reputation of our institution in the international arena in the long term and transferring positive effects to the wider environment – from the academic community to the
