Objectives

With the project, we addressed several objectives from the accreditation activity plan: To train and strengthen the capacities of youth organizations for the development and implementation of participatory processes and the promotion of active youth citizenship. As part of this objective, we organized a study visit where youth workers from PiNA learned about various organizations and good practices in the field of youth participation in Portugal. We also held a seminar for youth workers, where we tested different good practices and methodologies and exchanged knowledge with our partners on the use of short-term and long-term participatory processes in youth work. This objective addresses the need within the youth sector for new and innovative methods of engaging young people to become active citizens. At PiNA, we have been successfully using participatory methods for several years to involve the public (including young people) in urban planning processes, addressing environmental issues, drafting policy recommendations regarding youth housing, future planning, strategy development, etc. We share our experiences and knowledge with other youth organizations and work together to identify and implement new, innovative methods of youth engagement. Strengthening and building quality partnerships through the exchange of good practices and structured development of joint projects during the planning phase. As part of this objective, we organized a partnership building activity, as the partners identified the need to establish a network of relevant and high-quality partners and to create a platform for connection and collaboration. This platform, through regular meetings, will serve to exchange good practices from projects, developed methodologies, and to jointly plan new projects.
