Objectives

With this project, we aimed to introduce young people to the beauty of nature, help them overcome their fears related to it, instil a love for it, and present possible activities they can engage in, within nature. This way, we can achieve our higher goal of raising awareness and consciousness about nature conservation. We believe that those who feel more at home in nature and perhaps even grow to love it will be much more likely to contribute to its preservation. On the other hand, our goal was also to offer a unique experience of living in nature to those who we believe need it the most - young people who spend most of their days in front of screens and those with fewer opportunities. This brought us even closer to achieving our goal, as marginalized individuals are often those who have no chance to experience nature and its beauty. With the project, we also wanted to provide young people with opportunities for personal development: ● To encourage self-analysis through group work and self-reflection ● To improve their ability to socially connect and cooperate with other participants ● To discover new interests, potentials, and opportunities for personal empowerment ● To develop critical thinking and creativity ● To boost confidence in collaborating and planning a co-created project that considers each participant, thereby encouraging young people to take action in their community ● To offer young people a break from everyday stressors and a chance to calm their minds In addition to these main goals, our project had secondary objectives: ● Strengthening European identity ● Introducing the YouthPass tool ● Encouraging active citizenship ● Expanding knowledge about other Erasmus+ projects ● Deepening relationships with our partners
