The Slovak Medical University in Bratislava (SZU) is the only university that provides monothematic education for healthcare professions in all three degrees of higher education and guarantees complex education of healthcare specialists in Slovakia. We provide education in the regulated professions, with the specific number of rigid conditions set by both the European Union and our Ministry of Health (in order to acquire the competence for professional practice). We consider the internationalisation as one of the key pillars and tools of our development. The Erasmus Programme represents the major channel in terms of internationalisation and modernisation of cooperation with partners from abroad for SZU. Our strategy is based on strengthening the relationships and cooperation with the partners from the same field of expertise. We acknowledge the indispensable contribution of mobile students and staff, and of participation in European and international cooperation projects, to the quality of our education programmes and overall student and staff experience and satisfaction. In our strategy we focus our effort to achieve the objectives via mobilities of students and staff and via cooperation with institutions from the field of medicine and healthcare.
