Objectives

The main objective of the project was to enhance the international dimension of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) and to support its long-term strategic focus on internationalisation. The aim was to improve both the quality and scope of international mobility, to make the university environment more attractive for both incoming and outgoing participants, and to strengthen EUBA’s position as an active and reliable partner within the international academic network. The Erasmus+ programme was perceived as a key tool to implement internationalisation goals and to support the commitments arising from EUBA’s AACSB accreditation – the first of its kind for an economics-oriented university in Slovakia. In line with the Erasmus Policy Statement, the university sought not only to increase the number of mobilities, but also to improve their quality – in terms of partner diversity, balanced faculty involvement, and the development of meaningful international cooperation. Another important aspect was the effective and transparent use of allocated funding, with the goal of maximising the project’s impact across all levels – student, academic, and administrative. A total of 573 mobilities were successfully implemented, exceeding the originally planned number of 550. This result is considered both a quantitative success and proof of efficient project management and growing interest in mobility programmes. The project also enabled the expansion of cooperation with international partners and opened new opportunities for joint activities, including study programmes and the development of new double degree agreements. Strengthening these partnerships has contributed to the long-term sustainability and growth of the quality of EUBA’s international activities.
