The aim of the project was to strengthen existing partnerships as well as establish new contacts with institutions abroad through students and staff of the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, thereby enhancing the quality of collaboration in the field of science and research. The project also motivates students and staff to travel abroad and gain new experience and knowledge they can later apply during their studies or research at our university. Participating in mobility under the Erasmus+ program is beneficial not only for the mobility participant but also for both the hosting and sending institutions. The mutual exchange of knowledge, experiences and information that the participant gains and shares through mobility leads to a more effective collaboration between the involved parties. An important goal of the project is to motivate young people to travel abroad to improve their language skills in veterinary medicine or pharmacy, as well as to become acquainted with new teaching methods at the hosting institution. Thanks to the project, mobility participants acquire valuable experiences that assist them in further studies, research, and teaching at the university. Staff members, through the project, have the opportunity to explore entirely new technological procedures and thus enhance their expertise. During the given period, the Erasmus+ program was also utilized by graduates, who primarily travelled to veterinary clinics. These internships allow them to gain extensive experience abroad before entering the workforce, which is a significant benefit for their future careers. As part of the 2023 project, the university began sending its staff for the first time to language courses at a language school in Dublin. The aim of this activity was to improve staff communication skills in English, which will enhance the teaching of international students and communication with foreign partners in collaborative projects, as well as improve the level of English proficiency in preparing scientific publications.
