The internationalization of higher education is one of the key priorities of the University of Prešov (PU), not only within the Erasmus+ program, but also through other cooperation schemes in which PU participates (NŠP, Fulbright, etc.). The main objective of the project is to increase the number of mobilities in both directions – outgoing and incoming – and thus strengthen the mutual sharing of experiences. This objective was achieved thanks to an increase in the number of mobilities carried out and an increase in the number of participants accepted for certain types of mobilities, e.g. BIP. The project focused not only on academic growth and cultural enrichment, but also on supporting networking between individuals and workplaces, with the aim of continuing existing cooperation and creating new partnerships. The University of Prešov also set itself the goal of expanding the range of mobilities – both in terms of their types and target countries: Staff mobility was expanded to include opportunities to travel to partner countries (teacher mobility was also supported for the first time under the call) and to participate in Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP). In the case of student mobility, the priority was to maintain the number of mobilities at the doctoral level, where student participation in mobilities had been low for a long time in the past. Increased attention was also paid to student BIP mobility – its support also served as a tool to promote long-term mobility and to strengthen the use of digital elements in education. Finally, all types of mobility also contributed to the development of language skills, foreign language comprehension, and intercultural communication, thereby strengthening not only the professional but also the personal competencies of the participants.
