By implementing the project, we wanted to enable young people between the age of 13 and 16 to feel exceptional, unique and full-featured members of society through the implementation and inclusion of the youth exchange project under the name TRHOVISKO ODPADU (The Waste Marketplace). The objective was to raise the awareness of young people about the human impact on the environment. We increased their interest in nature and the environment in which we live. We introduced them to the issue of waste on our planet and together they proposed ways to participate in its solution. For example, by waste recycling and processing. Our Project‘s main goal was to create a long-term mutual, collaborative partnership with participants from the Czech Republic. Secondary objectives were: - to create a gradually growing community for youth as a safe and stable place for their development, - to increase the number of young people and members around them who will participate in solving environmental issues, - to gradually establish more ECAs focusing on the topic of environmental education of children and youth, - to reach to a wider public through the creative activity of young people, - by sharing our experience, to raise the awareness about a non-formal education, - to create in young people a sense of belonging, self-confidence, courage to work on themselves and express their opinion, - to teach young people how to manage uncertainty and fear of failure. Our long-term and ongoing goal was, and still is, to implement youth meetings where young people can propose, plan and implement projects related not only to the environment, but also to other societal topics.
