The primary aim of the project was to improve the physical and mental health of young people. This goal was especially pertinent considering the lifestyle changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to increased isolation and passive lifestyles among youth. The project sought to address these issues by encouraging young people to engage in physical activities and sports. The rationale was grounded in the understanding that physical activity positively affects mental health by influencing serotonin levels, which regulate mental health, and norepinephrine, which improves mood. Additionally, exercise was seen as a means to release endorphins and reduce cortisol levels, thereby contributing to better stress management and overall well-being. Promoting the importance of sports: The project aimed to educate young people about the significance of sports in daily life, emphasizing the positive effects on both body and mind. A critical outcome was to establish and maintain stable exercise routines among the youth. Developing new competencies: The project focused on helping young people gain new competencies through teamwork, fair play, and inclusion. This involved providing opportunities to learn about the ethics and rules of various sports activities and encouraging them to actively participate. Finding positive effects on mental health: An objective was to enable participants to directly experience the benefits of sports on mental health and well-being. Raising awareness about mental health: The project also aimed to increase awareness of mental health issues. This was to be achieved through initiatives like organizing a flash mob, distributing leaflets, and producing a video to promote an active lifestyle within the community. These objectives were designed to address the holistic development of young people by integrating physical activities with mental health awareness and fostering a culture of active, healthy living.
