The main goal of the Edigitation project was to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies of youth workers and teachers from rural areas in the field of digital education. By doing so, the project aimed to help them respond to the evolving needs of society and the challenges faced by rural communities, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through non-formal education methods, the project sought to: Enhance the quality of education by integrating digital tools into youth work and formal education. Empower youth workers and teachers with skills to effectively support young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Reduce the urban-rural divide by increasing access to digital education and employment opportunities. Support young people in rural areas in discovering opportunities within their communities and in democratic Europe, including how to use social media for marketing and business development. The project aimed to achieve the following objectives: Facilitate exchange between youth workers and teachers to discuss and introduce the use of digital tools in education and youth work. Develop digital competencies among youth workers and teachers to enhance their effectiveness in education. Raise awareness of the role of digital tools and new media in youth work, increasing their impact on young people. Create a space for knowledge transfer on media literacy and digitalization across Europe. Exchange tools, methods, and best practices in using modern technologies in youth work. Foster European cooperation in the youth field, supporting the development of innovative solutions for digitalized youth organizations. Increase employability prospects for young people with fewer opportunities by equipping youth workers with relevant skills. Promote the most relevant digital tools to create sustainable and effective education and cross-border partnerships. Encourage sustainable living practices from a young age, applying them in organizations and schools.
