Sabancı University has been actively participating in Erasmus Programs for many years as an essential part of its internationalization strategy, developing partnerships worldwide for student and staff mobility as well as research purposes. Nearly 80% of our exchange agreements fall under the Erasmus+ program. In line with our strategy, Sabancı University aims to send approximately 35% of its graduates abroad through exchange programs. The Erasmus KA131 Project is designed to ensure the sustainability of our internationalization efforts by bringing our students, faculty members, and staff together with different cultures and academic environments. Through the program, we aim to develop our students' competencies and skills, increase their post-graduation employment rates, and enhance their learning abilities by experiencing different academic systems firsthand. Additionally, we aim to increase research collaborations and curriculum development processes through staff mobility, and to adapt administrative practices based on best practices. Sabancı University also aims to increase and promote the mobility of students with special needs through grant support. Furthermore, the Erasmus grant is considered a sustainable funding mechanism that encourages our students to participate in international exchange programs, alleviates their financial burden by covering part of their education and living expenses, and thus facilitates their international experiences. The mobilities carried out under the program and program outcomes have accelerated the digitalization process. Best practice examples learned through post-mobility experiences are shared within the institution, helping Faculties and units improve their practices.
