The main aim of implementing this project is to enhance the international cooperation capacity between European universities and Turkish higher education institutions, particularly Kafkas University located in Kars. Through increased student and staff mobility at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, the project seeks to improve the transparency and recognition of qualifications and studies. By increasing the number of students participating in exchange programs, the project aims to broaden their worldviews, enhance their intercultural understanding, and provide them with valuable international academic experiences. It also supports the professional development of academic and administrative staff by encouraging participation in teaching, training, and research activities abroad. Another key objective is to establish sustainable joint research programs and academic collaborations that will strengthen long-term partnerships between institutions. In addition to academic and professional gains, the project also aims to break down prejudices against foreigners and promote cultural awareness and dialogue. Given Kars’ relatively limited social interaction with international communities, the impact of this project is particularly significant. It will contribute to the development of Kafkas University, especially as a regional institution, by expanding its educational and research capacities and by offering more opportunities to disadvantaged or remote-area students and staff.
